The second edition of the international contemporary dance festival Lugano Dance Project is dedicated to the combination of the human body and architecture. From 11 to 16 June 2024 it will transform, the city of Lugano and its environs, into a great showcase for artists and performing arts operators from all over the world.
Five new productions, site-specific performances, workshops, round tables, screenings and a Tanzfaktor evening dedicated to the emerging Swiss dance scene: a rich programme of events which, in addition to the spaces of the LAC, will include some of Ticino’s most significant architectural sites, such as the Villa Heleneum and Ciani Kindergarten in Lugano, the Teatro San Materno in Ascona and the Santa Maria degli Angeli Church on Monte Tamaro, designed by architect Mario Botta.
