Young queen of the electric harp, as described by Swiss Live Talents CH, Kety Fusco is one of the most interesting and original new artists to come out of Switzerland and Europe. At the LAC she will be presenting her new project live, which she created together with visual artists Gabriele Ottino and Sharon Ritossa.
A journey in sight and sound that offers the audience an impromptu musical experience, far removed from the classical harp repertoire and full of moving images that hint at contemporary themes.
Using the physical materials of the classical harp: wood, metal and catgut, Kety Fusco who hails from Tuscany but has been living for years in Bellinzona – produces sounds and atmospheres that suggest its own deconstruction while calling up images and music that mesh perfectly with the visual ideas of the two artists.
In Kety Fusco’s performance, the various disassembled parts of the harp yield an avant-garde vision of the world’s most ancient musical instrument.
This project will also be produced in the form of a vinyl disc entitled The Harp - Chapter I by Kety Fusco and will premiere at the Montreux Jazz Festival 2022.
